Background
The processes in the Packaging and Carpentry divisions were hardly digitized. Orders, deliveries and coordination were handled via emails and Excel lists. With the large number of partners, this resulted in a high level of effort, a lack of transparency and unclear responsibilities. What is needed is a digital platform that brings structure to the complex order processing – a project that Contoweb has been supporting with precision and process understanding since the beginning.
Solution
We are developing a central platform to coordinate all packaging and carpentry orders. It connects internal teams and external partners, integrates upstream systems such as ERP and monitoring tools, and automates approvals. The dashboard shows all users exactly the information they need: from user masks to notifications by e-mail or SMS. The intuitive visualization of KPIs ensures an overview at all times.
Benefits
The platform is a central supply chain platform for all stakeholders and makes processes, key performance indicators and progress in day-to-day business transparent. Over 160 active users have so far coordinated more than 100,000 orders. The solution provides a single platform for six companies and a consistent process and data model. It processes around 22,600 API transmissions per day and increases efficiency throughout the process through automation.
